Project Goal: This project is a reconstruct. In 2008 the MUSASINO rocket club came out from Japan to launch the UTAMARO, it flew well on a K550 but zippered the airframe. The cost to ship the rocket back to Japan was prohibitive and the team was going to discard the rocket. I offered to keep the rocket here and to repair it for them for a future launch.
Forward to 2010...The UTAMARO has been de and reconstructed. It now has a 75mm motor mount, onboard electronics and has been fully fiber glassed.
UTAMARO will be ready to fly again this year when the team comes out on an M1315
